Adult Student Orientation, Fall 2008
Sunday, Aug. 31 2008

Fall Adult Student Orientation is designed for adults students new to EMU who are beginning classes in September 2008.

WHAT is Adult Student Orientation and WHY should I attend?

As you prepare to begin your first semester, we would like to make your transition smooth and invite you to an experience, which will help ensure your academic success. EMU offers a free orientation program, designed especially for adult students who are new to the college experience. FUSION: New Student Adult Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to meet fellow adult students, learn about campus resources, and take care of business before classes begin.

Following the formal session which highlights academic resources, campus services, navigating your way around campus, technology, time management, and steps to getting involved, we welcome you to take a tour of campus and/or advantage of Student Center Eaglepalooza a program that brings various campus resources and entertainment all to one place. During Eaglepalooza, you can visit important campus services like Student Business Services, Academic Advising, Records and Registration, and Financial Aid. Also you can buy textbooks, get your parking hang tag, get your student ID and much more. Feel free to introduce your family to EMU at this time with live entertainment and great meal choices. Please note, while families are welcome, EMU does not provide special services for children during the program. Orientation is not mandatory for adult students, however it is highly recommended.
